As a filmmaker, it's good to know who you want to work with, who you can visualize as an actor for a role, or the kind of person that would make great emotional and mental effects towards the audience viewing your film. For example, this relationship can be seen between Hoffman and director P. T. Anderson; Hoffman has worked with Anderson in multiple films over the course of Hoffman's career. Over the course those years, the audience has familiarized Hoffman, and sees the progression through the roles he's played, especially in the latest "Hunger Games" series. But for the industry, this death will create some problems for future films. His character cannot be easily replaced, and modifications to films he was supposed to be in will have to be made for the story; for example, the next films based on the "Hunger Games" series.
